Monday 12, 2010
MARQUETTE, Mich.—Artist David Garibaldi will perform “Rhythm and Hue” at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, in Vandament Arena.

Admission is free to Northern Michigan University students and costs $2 for the public. The event is sponsored by NMU’s Northern Arts and Entertainment.

David Garibaldi is a 27-year-old artist who creates six-foot portraits of pop icons in minutes to music.  Garibaldi recently performed at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, during halftime at an NBA Golden State Warriors game with Carlos Santana and opened for Snoop Dogg over Super Bowl weekend.

Over the past four years, his work with non-profit organizations like the Special Olympics, American Heart Association and CA Police Youth Charities has assisted in raising over $500,000 for their causes.  His ambitious goal is to raise $1 million for charities by the age of 30.
