NMU HOSTS THIRD ANNUAL PEOPLE'S LAW SCHOOL

            MARQUETTE, Mich.—An eight-week program analyzing Michigan’s legal system and outlining the rights and responsibilities of citizens will be held this fall.

The People’s Law School runs from 7-9 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 7 through Oct. 26. Upper Peninsula attorneys will give presentations on such topics as elder law, family law, employment law, consumer law, medical marijuana issues and criminal sentencing. Individuals are welcome to attend any or all sessions for a fee of $25 to cover materials.

The People’s Law School is sponsored by the NMU political science and public administration department, the NMU Student Law Forum, Pence & Numinen and the Michigan Association for Justice.
