Veteran Students Invited to U.P. Events

            MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University veteran students are invited to take advantage of benefits counseling and claim filing assistance at one of four Upper Peninsula locations July 9-12. The Disabled American Veterans Mobile Service Office will travel the region to answer questions and explain available services free of charge to all veterans and their family members.

            Below are details on each location the DAV Mobile Service Office will visit. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the respective dates. For more information, call Douglas Wells Jr. at 313-964-6595:

            Monday, July 9: Ironwood at the American Legion Post 5, 320 E. McLeod Ave.

            Tuesday, July 10: Iron River at the VFW Post 3134, 4 E. Genesee St.

            Wednesday, July 11:  Escanaba at the VFW Post 2998, 904 Sheridan Rd.

            Thursday, July 12: Manistique at the VFW Post 4420, 344 N. Maple Ave.
