Fifth Annual People's Law School Offered

    MARQUETTE, Mich.—A five-week program analyzing Michigan’s legal system and outlining the rights and responsibilities of citizens will be held this fall.

The People’s Law School runs from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays, Sept. 26 through Oct. 24, at the Peter White Public Library. Upper Peninsula attorneys will give presentations on such topics as elder law, workers’ compensation, social security disability, no-fault law and jury selection. Individuals are welcome to attend any or all sessions for a fee of $25 to cover materials.

The People’s Law School is sponsored by the NMU department of political science, the NMU Student Law Forum, Pence & Numinen, Peter White Public Library and the Michigan Association for Justice.
