'Wealth is a Choice' Author Speaks at NMU

            MARQUETTE, Mich.— James Studinger, the author of Wealth is a Choice, will give a presentation on financial decision-making and responsibility on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Northern Michigan University. The talk will be held at 4 p.m. in Mead Auditorium in the West Science Building. It is free and open to the public.

            Wealth is a Choice focuses on how to make good financial decisions in work, family and organizational environments. Its goal is to educate readers so they embrace, not fear, financial decisions. Studinger grew up in Manistique. He opened his own wealth-management company, JPStudinger Group, in 2002. His expertise played an instrumental role in Michigan’s adoption of a 529 College Savings Plan. In 2009, Studinger become the vice chair for the Michigan JumpStart Coalition, a non-profit dedicated to raising the financial literacy bar for children. He has the firm belief that through sound financial education, everyone can once more enjoy sound financial times.

            Studinger’s presentation is part of the Your Wealth lecture series at NMU.
