“I decided to come to Northern because I loved the area. I also loved the idea of smaller class sizes so that I can meet with the professors and have them know me rather than being one of thousands in the bigger schools. I also like how close everything as in its an easy cycle to get to good hiking spots or downtown.”

Let Us Know How We Can Help

We have found that every student and family has different needs, so the steps listed below may vary for you in timing, order, or importance. No matter what your situation, please know your admissions counselor is here to listen and to help. Please contact your counselor if any questions arise.

If you are earning college credit prior to orientation, remember to request college transcripts and AP or IB exam scores sent to NMU. The earlier we receive these, the more helpful we can be in planning your first semester schedule and academic plan.

Need to change your plans?  Let us know.
